STRATHALBYN 7-12 CAMPUS

The Strathalbyn 7-12 campus of Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School is set amongst expansive grounds with both native and formal gardens. The Director of Secondary Education and two Assistant Principal positions share the responsibility for the day to day running of the campus.

The 7-12 campus caters for the individual learning needs of approximately 675 students with a Regional Special class co-located on the grounds. The campus is able to offer an extensive range of curriculum choices to all students from Year 7 through to Year 12. Students begin studying the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) in Year 10 and complete their SACE over the following two years of study. As part of the Southern Fleurieu Trade School and other associated Vocational and Educational Training (VET) organisations our students are able to access a large variety of VET courses, both on our site and at other sites around the area. Some of these courses include;

  • Certificate II in Equine Studies
  • Certificate I and II in Automotive
  • Certificate II in Food and Hospitality
  • Certificate II in Agriculture
  • Certificate II in Building and Construction
  • Certificate III in Allied Health

The grounds and buildings have been extensively updated in the last two years and now host

  • Expanded Design & Technology workshop incorporating Timber, Metal and Computer Aided Design

  • New Performing Arts Centre incorporating spaces for Dance, Drama, Music, a public performance space and rehearsal rooms for instrumental music tuition.
